Family Medical Leave Act Update News 2008
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) has been amended by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (NDAA) effective January 28, 2008. However, the FMLA poster, titled "Your Rights under the Family and Medical Leave of 1993," has NOT yet been revised by the responsible federal agency. Keep your existing FMLA posting displayed to continue to remain in compliance. The federal Department of Labor is now estimating that they will have the new FMLA posting drafted and available in mid December, at which point we will incorporate it into our products. Employers with more than 50 employees will be required to display the new version of the FMLA posting once it is released.
